Anti-plagiarism tool

The Directorate for Public Knowledge Goods offers the university community advice and access to the iThenticate tool, a software specialized in the detection of similarities in academic and scientific texts.

This service allows you to analyze documents by comparing them with a wide database of academic publications, scientific articles, books, theses and content available on the internet, generating similarity reports that facilitate the identification of textual coincidences and the correct citation of sources.

In addition to the use of the platform, guidance is provided for the interpretation of the reports and the responsible use of the tool, with the purpose of supporting reviewers, authors, editors and editorial teams in verifying the originality of manuscripts before publication.
