The Directorate for Research Evaluation and Advanced Studies (DEIEA) provides guidance and consultancy to graduate programs during the evaluation processes before the National System of Graduate Programs (SNP) of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (Secihti) and the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation System (SEAES)

Guidance on Evaluation Guidelines and Criteria

It focuses on providing guidance regarding the applicable evaluation guidelines and criteria, ensuring clarity on the requirements and indicators established by the evaluating bodies. This guidance includes addressing specific inquiries and contextualizing the criteria based on each program’s characteristics, in order to facilitate their proper understanding and application.

Support in regulatory compliance

It seeks to provide support to program coordinators throughout the compliance process, addressing specific inquiries and assisting in strategic decision-making. This support includes advisory services for activity planning,the definition of strategies to address observations, the verification of commitment fulfillment, and guidance to strengthen identified areas for improvement.

Technical Assistance for the Secihti Platform

It involves providing support and guidance for the proper use of the Secihti platform, ensuring the correct registration, data entry, updating, and validation of the information required by evaluating bodies. This assistance includes monitoring throughout the data entry process to prevent inconsistencies, guarantee data integrity, and contribute to meeting established deadlines.

Detailed Monitoring of Each Stage of the Evaluation Processes

It consists of the detailed monitoring of each stage of the evaluation processes, verifying progress, the timely submission of information, the appropriate response to observations and compliance with established deadlines. This monitoring allows for the identification of risks, the prevention of delays, and the maintenance of constant communication with those responsible for the programs.

Support in the integration of information and Evidence Required by Evaluating Bodies

Its purpose is to support programs in the collection, organization, and analysis of the requested documentation and academic information. This includes reviewing data consistency and coherence, validating documentary evidence, and systematizing information, with the aim of strengthening the quality, clarity, and robustness of submitted files.
