Graduate Student Mobility

What is mobility?
  • In the case of student mobility, it is a face-to-face, virtual or mixed stay, in a national or foreign entity different from the one in which you are enrolled in Graduate Studies at our university, in a graduate program of the UAEMéx itself different from the one you are enrolled in but related to the thematic contents of study.
  • In the case of academic mobility, it is a stay that takes place in an academic entity at the UAEMéx itself or a national or international entity either in person, virtual or mixed.
  • Mobility can be requested by national or foreign students and teachers wishing to stay at our university.
How long does it last?
  • The research stay can last from 15 days to 3 months, while university mobility (credit) lasts up to one semester within the same semester.
  • The teaching research stay can last from 15 days to 12 months (the latter only for sabbaticals).
What is its purpose?
  • The student research stay will have as its purposes one or more of the following actions: data collection, reference consultation, information processing, experimental design, data analysis and interpretation and other activities that give added value to your thesis.
  • The purpose of student university mobility (credit) will be to take graduate credits at the destination institution to be validated at our university.
  • The purpose of the teaching research stay will be to carry out one or more of the following activities: Teach and/or attend classes, workshops, conferences, seminars, presentations, develop research projects and/or data analysis and collection.
Who manages it?
  • The Department of Academic Exchange (DIAC) of this Directorate.

What requirements do they ask for?

In general, these are the requirements for mobility, for more details, contact us.
How can I finance mobility?

The Department of Scientific Academic Exchange (DIAC) collaborates in the search, spread and management of calls that provide external funding for this purpose. Once a call is open and a student or teacher wishes to participate, this department advises on the meeting of requirements for both the call itself and the UAEMéx mobility process and issues the application letter to participate in it, as well as for possible immigration procedures if applicable.
