Photo Exhibition: “Women and Girls in Science”
The photo exhibition “La Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia” [“Women and Girls in Science” in English] was inaugurated, an initiative that celebrates the talent, curiosity, and perseverance of women who have found in science a path to transform our world.
This project is the result of a collaboration between the State of Mexico Council for Science and Technology (COMECYT) (COMECYT) and UAEMéx, with the aim of highlighting the role of women researchers in the development of science and inspiring new generations.
Through the CientífikAs Mexiquenses Call for Applications, COMECYT has promoted equity in scientific development in the State of Mexico by dedicating this call to funding projects led by women. At UAEMéx, 20 women researchers have benefited from this initiative.
Each photograph represents a story, a vocation born from curiosity that can become knowledge, innovation, and contributions to society. May this exhibition inspire more girls and young women to envision themselves as future scientists, researchers, and engineers.
