Educational System of Equivalencies

This analysis is one of the documents that are required to establish the technical opinion necessary for the issuance of a Statement on the revalidation of studies (it is the procedure by which the UAEMéx recognizes studies carried out abroad), either for:

  • Admission to graduate studies at UAEMéx, or
  • Academic recognition of the studies abroad of the UAEMéx university student

In both cases, this Statement on the Revalidation of Studies (carried out at UAEMéx), serves the interested party to carry out the process of Revalidation of Studies before the Ministry of Public Education. To reach this technical opinion, it is necessary, in the first instance, to determine the academic equivalence and the correspondence of the educational system of origin with the Mexican Educational System. labor carried out by the Department of Global Science Education (DFGC) of the Directorate for Scientific Cooperation and Internationalization.

This process of Analysis of Correspondence of Educational Systems is just one of the procedures constituting the process that must be followed for the Directorate for Advanced Studies of the Secretariat of Science to carry out the rest of the steps to issue the Statement of Revalidation of Studies UAEMéx.

IMPORTANT: the Statement of Revalidation of Studies carried out by the UAEMéx is different from the Revalidation of Studies carried out by the SEP, however, to request the revalidation before the SEP the UAEMéx must first be issued.

By belonging to one of the necessary procedures for the Study Equivalence Statement process:

  1. Those interested in pursuing graduate studies at UAEMéx with a history of studies abroad must request the Equivalence Statement through the Graduate Coordinations of the academic organizations in which the admission to the studies is requested, who in turn, will send it to the Directorate for Advanced Studies of the Secretariat of Science.

     

  2. In the case of teachers who require the Equivalence Statement of their studies abroad, they may request the Equivalence Statement directly from the Directorate for Advanced Studies of the Secretariat of Science.

In both cases, this instance will turn over the application and the necessary documentation for the DFGC to establish the aforementioned correspondence analysis, which, when completed, is sent to the Directorate for Advanced Studies with a copy to the requesting entities, as the case may be.

* Requests for correspondence analysis addressed directly to the DCCI are not accepted, the procedure is initiated from the Directorate for Advanced Studies.

For informational purposes, the documents required for correspondence analysis are:

  • Valid passport
  • Certificate of studies with apostille
  • Degree or certificate of professional examination with apostille
  • Simple Spanish translations, when applicable
