This morning, at the Faculty of Engineering of the UAEMéx, , the Launch of the Secretariat of Science took place- a pivotal moment in consolidating a university model where knowledge generated with public resources is accessible to everyone.

The Rector of the UAEMéx, Dr. Paty Zarza, emphasized that this new structural model seeks to ensure that science and innovation generate real social benefits. The central purpose is to materialize the human right to science, establishing the University as a bridge between research, specialists, and public resources.

Under this vision, science is reaffirmed as a public good, and its openness is no longer an alternative but an ethical responsibility toward society.

Dr. Arianna Becerril Garcia, Secretary of Science, noted that this Secretariat was established with the conviction that articulating efforts, boosting capabilities, and creating environments where researchers find the necessary support to develop high-impact projects.

Furthermore, the Director of Research, Dr. Linda Giuliana Bautista Gómez, affirmed that science is a public good, a human right, and an indispensable tool for building a more just, innovative, and sustainable future.

She highlighted that science is shared, explained, taught, and brought closer to communities, as it is there where it gains meaning and transforms realities.

During the event, the Early Career Young Women Researchers Meeting was held -a space that showcases the talent and renewing force driving the University toward a more human, accessible science that is closely aligned with social needs.
